Just the Two of Us
Oil on board

Our wedding day was the first time I had ever rode in a limousine.
I slowly got in with my long veil and train in one hand and slid across the seat. My parents sat across from me. Wow! This is pretty cool.
Just the three of us, like the day I was born.
I can remember every turn of the four -mile ride to the Villanova Chapel. It felt like we were moving in slow motion.
My dad helped me get out, and we walked together up the steps, through the door, and down the aisle to Mike.
A sacred moment between father and daughter – where the bride leaves the hands of her father and joins her groom.
An hour later Mike and I walked out of the Chapel, arm & arm, and we got back into the same limousine.
I remember being in this giant vehicle, and we were huddled close, giggling like little kids.
I looked down at his hand and saw his ring – WOW! Here we go!
Just the two of us!
“Just the two of us
Building castles in the sky
Just the two of us
You and I”
