White Christmas
Oil on board
6x6 with black floater frame.
If my memory is right, I think in 1978 it snowed all Christmas eve day. Not a dusting, probably 10 inches. I was little and it felt like magic. I remeber asking my parents how Santa could get around in a storm and would be able to get to our house? Would our granparents and aunts and uncles be able to drive to see us on Christmas? Well, on Christmas morning we had gifts under the tree. Santa didnt have any travel issues. We played in the snow with our new wooden sleds. The kind with the metal runners. Such a thrill to be a kid and have a white Christmas!!!
"Im dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know.
Where the treetops glisten.
And children listen.
To hear sleigh bells in the snow"
